What's this Hoedown theme about y'all?

In line with the theme, your hosts and the homestead will be gettin’ a full-on Haunted Hoedown makeover with country fixin’s and a spooky saloon vibe, complete with a wild west blackjack table and dealer! Expect food, drinks, music, and more. Feel free to come dressed in western wear with a spooky twist, or just wear whatever makes you ready to party and raise a little ruckus.

Do I have to dress up, what if I don't have a costume?

Costumes are optional, buuuut...it will be that much more fun if you dress up! In previous years, almost everyone has come in costume. Costumes can be super simple or outrageously ornate, the choice is yours!

No boots? No spurs? No problem! A plaid shirt, denim, bandana, or even a spooky tee can turn into a hoedown-ready getup faster than you can say yee-haw. We’ll also have some western trinkets and spooky extras on hand, like bandanas and hats, for folks ridin’ in without a getup, or for anyone who wants a little somethin’ extra to complete their look.

Will there be food & drink?

Lots of eerie edibles, spooky soda, poisonous punch, curious cocktails, cadaver-cold beer and more will be provided. We'll also have a full buffet of food available, so you can easily skip dinner before arriving!

Where should I park?

Luckily parking is much easier in the new neighborhood! We have a few spots in the driveway, otherwise Pagedale Dr (our main street) has nice wide parking lanes on the street, so park in any open spot!

Is this party kid-friendly?

Accepted Answer

Eh, kind of. If you'd like to bring your kiddos, we'd recommend they come earlier in the evening to avoid adult language, horror movies, and the general debauchery that is sure to ensue as the night goes on.
